An Especially Special Specialty Store

Bjorn's Audio-Video specializes in audio, video, and home theater equipment sales, service, and professional installation. We don't do toaster ovens or washers and dryers; nor do we sell computers. (It's not that those kinds of things aren't any good -- we just like to focus on what we do best.) That makes us somewhat unique in this world of big chain stores and mega-marts, but it's one of the key reasons why folks in San Antonio have come to trust us for excellent advice, service and great gear since 1975.

Act Locally...

Picking what we do best and sticking to it isn't the only thing that makes us unique, though. We're not part of a chain, and we're totally homegrown. (Well, Bjorn originally came from Norway when he was six years old, but he started his store right here in San Antonio.) So when we evaluate products or decide on sale prices, it's us locally calling the shots -- not some corporate hot shots a thousand miles away who couldn't care less about you.

So we're a local company with a single store. You'd think that would make us totally noncompetitive when it comes to pricing and selection. Think again. Bjorn's hard work and reputation in the industry has allowed us to join one of the premiere buying groups in the A/V industry, so we're able to pass on great deals to our customers just like the big guys. So go ahead. Compare our prices on similar items to those at other stores. We know you'll be surprised to find that Bjorn's prices are quite often the same, or sometimes lower, than the so-called "discounters".

Selection -- and the Knowledge to Make Sense of It All

But there are a few things that you won't find at those other stores. Take extensive knowledge about the gear being sold, for instance. Some of our salespeople have been with us for over ten and even 20+ years. You can't put a price on that kind of expertise, and it comes with everything we sell at Bjorn's. Another thing you won't find at our competitors is the extensive selection of great gear. Sure, you'll find lots and lots of entry-level choices (things like basic receivers and inexpensive bookshelf speakers) -- and we've got those, too -- but you won't find an assortment of choices from entry-level to high-performance like you will at Bjorn's.

Of course, the better stuff does cost a little more, but at Bjorn's you've got the choice of basic, better, and ultra rather than just basic, basic, and basic. So don't be fooled into believing the myth that you can't afford Bjorn's. Our selection of great gear covers lots of price ranges, so we're confident that we'll be able to help you find what you're looking for without busting your budget.
